EIGHT STAR INTERCLUB EVENTS

Five events are held with two clubs participating, either at home or away, at a date and time determined by the two clubs.  There will be 4 tee times.  The sixth event will be held on closing day with all teams participating at the host course.

Eligibility:  Any PL18GA member with a USGA golf index may play, but if a player’s handicap exceeds 29.0 a maximum index of 29.0 will be used.

Format: The format is a net Stableford competition based on points (Net Bogey = 1 point, Net Par = 2 points, Net birdie = 3 points, etc).  There will be a field of 8 players per team.  The top 5 scores count toward the total team score for the event.  Stableford points are cumulative over the season.

Cost:  The cost is $40 per person, plus $3 for the bag staff.  There is no luncheon afterwards, as there are only two teams playing at each club, rather than eight teams.  Food afterwards is on your own, and at your own discretion.

Closing Day:  There will be a luncheon, and all 8 teams will be present.  It will be a shotgun start.  The cost is $120, which includes golf, cart and full meal.

How to sign up for an event:  A “call for players” email will be sent out approximately 2 weeks before each Interclub event.  Respond if you are interested in playing.  If you want to be on this email list or have other questions, please let a co-captain know.
